नयी दिल्ली। भारत के पूर्वी तटों पर कहर बरपाने के लिए चक्रवाती तूफान ‘हुदहुद' भयावह रुप ले चुका है। इस भयानक तूफान से टकराने के लिए भारतीय सेना भी तैयार है। नौसेना ने हुडहुड तूफान का मुकाबला करने के लिए कमर बांध ली है।
नौसेना इस संभावित संकटकालीन स्थिति में आवश्यक मानवीय सहायता मुहैया कराने के लिए अपनी ओर से पूरी तैयारी कर ली है। ओड़ीसा सरकार द्वारा मदद मांगे जाने के बाद रक्षा मंत्रालय ने भारतीय नौसेना के चार जहाज़ों को आपातकालीन उपयोग के लिए रख दिया है। तूफान प्रभावित इलाकों में मानवीय सहायता और आपदा राहत मुहैया कराने के लिए नौसेना हाई अलर्ट पर है।
इन जहाज़ों पर अतिरिक्त गोताखोरों, डॉक्टरों, हवा भरने वाली रबर नौकाओं, एकीकृत हेलिकॉप्टरों और बड़ी मात्रा में राहत सामग्री जैसे खाद्य पदार्थ, कपड़े, दवाएं, कम्बल इत्यादि की भी व्यवस्था की गई है। नौसेना एयर स्टेशन ‘आईएनएस डेगा' पर छह विमानों को आपातकालीन उपयोग के लिए रखा गया है। इसकी मदद से तूफान में फंसने वाले लोगों को वहां से निकाल कर सुरक्षित ठिकानों पर पहुंचाया जा सके।

Keeping in mind the safety of passengers, East Coast Railway has decided to cancel the services of 38 trains on October 12 when cyclone 'Hudhud' is expected to hitOdisha and Andhra Pradesh. "We do not want even a single casualty as our passengers safety is foremost in our agenda.
"Hence, we have decided to cancel 38 the trains on the Bhubaneswar-Visakhapatnam route from 6 AM on October 12 and during that time the entire section would be closed to all mail express and passenger trains," ECoR CPRO J P Mishra said. According to the Met department, Cyclone Hudhud, which is transform into a "very severe cyclonic storm", is expected to hit Andhra Pradesh-Odisha coast on October 12. The cancelled passenger trains include
Bhubaneswar-Bangalore Prashanti Express,
Bhubaneswar-Bangalore Prashanti Express,
Bhubaneswar-Visakhpatnam Intercity, Bhubaneswar-Yesvantpur, Bhubaneswar-Secunderabad Visakha Express, Puri-Okha Express, Bhubaneswar-Tirupaty Express, Puri-Tirupaty Express, Bhubaneswar-Mumbai Konark Express, Puri-Chennai Express etc. Some of the trains originating from Howrah and bound for the southern states would be diverted via Raipur and Nagpur section.
Mishra said they have planned for early restoration of train services and railway track, should they be affected.
Positioning of special teams for early restoration of tracks, signaling system and electrification has also been ensured.
Cyclone Hudhud turns 'very severe', says national weather forecaster
NEW DELHI: The severe cyclonic storm 'Hudhud' turned "very severe" on Friday, said India's national weather forecaster while pin-pointing districts of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha which need to be extra careful till Sunday.
Suggesting complete evacuation from coastal areas of north Andhra Pradesh and south Odisha, it said sea condition will be "rough" to "very rough" from Saturday morning and would reach dangerous level on Sunday morning.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) said the storm surge of about 1-2 metres above astronomical tide would inundate low lying areas of Visakhapatnam, Vijayanagaram and Srikakulam districts of north coastal Andhra Pradesh at the time of landfall.
